FAQ

What is an empty leg?
An empty leg occurs when a private jet has to fly back or onward without passengers — typically after a completed charter. Operators offer these legs at significantly reduced prices to monetise an otherwise unloaded flight. Typical discounts range between 30 and 75 % compared with a regular charter.
How binding is the listed price?
The listed price is an indication taken from the operator’s inventory. It becomes binding only after the operator’s confirmation following your inquiry. Minor deviations — for example slot fees or catering — are possible.
How fixed are the date and route?
Both are largely fixed, since the operator has to perform the repositioning flight regardless. Minor shifts of the departure time are possible depending on the operator. Route changes or intermediate stops are generally not available.
How short-notice can I inquire?
Empty legs are dispatched at short notice — many flights depart within 24 to 72 hours, some only a few hours before take-off. The earlier you inquire, the higher the chance of availability.
What happens after my inquiry?
You receive an immediate confirmation of receipt by email. We verify availability and terms with the respective operator and come back with a concrete response — confirmation, alternative offer, or, in rare cases, a decline if the flight has already been allocated elsewhere.
What can I expect on board?
Catering, baggage allowance, and pets on board depend on the operator and the aircraft. We clarify individual requirements directly with the operator after your inquiry.
What happens in case of cancellation?
If the flight is cancelled by the operator — for instance because the original charter was rebooked — a full refund is issued. Customer-side cancellations follow the operator’s terms and are typically very restricted for empty legs.
