Data processed via the inquiry form

When submitting the inquiry form, we collect your name, email, optionally phone, number of passengers, flight preferences, and IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Business purpose & sharing with providers/operators

voidjet is a marketplace that aggregates publicly available empty-leg offers from third-party providers (operators and charter brokers) and facilitates contact between you and the respective provider. To handle your inquiry, we forward the data you submit (name, email, optionally phone, number of passengers, flight preferences) to the provider offering the requested flight, so they can make you a quote. This sharing occurs solely for that purpose and only with the provider responsible for the specific offer.

Recipients in third countries

Some providers are based outside the EU/EEA (e.g. USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland). If your inquiry concerns such a provider's offer, your data is transferred there. The basis is Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR (transfer necessary for pre-contractual measures at your request) and your explicit consent. An adequate level of data protection comparable to EU law cannot be guaranteed in every case in these countries.

Flight alert (email notifications)

When you set up a flight alert, we store your email address, the search criteria you chose, the language of the page you used, and — as proof of your consent — the time, IP address and browser identifier of both your sign-up and your confirmation. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can also start an alert when submitting an inquiry, via the separate checkbox there; consent to the inquiry does not include it.

The alert becomes active only after you confirm it via the link in the confirmation email (double opt-in). If you do not confirm, we delete the sign-up after seven days. We also store which offers you have already been notified about, so you do not receive the same offer twice; those entries are deleted once the flight in question lies in the past.

You can end the alert at any time via the unsubscribe link in every notification or via the management page — without giving reasons and with effect for the future. The subscription data is then deleted or marked as unsubscribed. For the flight alert we do not share your data with providers or operators; that only happens when you submit a specific inquiry via the inquiry form.

Retention

Inquiry data is stored for 24 months, then anonymized. Flight alert data is stored for as long as the subscription exists; after unsubscribing we retain the record of consent only for as long as it is needed to defend against claims.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object. You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, contact office@voidjet.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
